Since this mod has a variety of rather different cars, which car to try to get a quick feel for whether this mod has anything for you may not be obvious, so here is a little help.

Newbie, Casual racer -- f-sum-basic
or like lots of close wheel to wheel over knife edge technicality Then try one of the Ascari/Stuttgart f-sum-basic cars (such as any of the f-sum-basic team _league_ cars). If you want a touch more technicality in this class, try one with a geartek instead of omnitrac transmission (see the engine graphic in vehicle selection for transmission).

Fan of rFactor formula cars ranging from Nippon to GP2 -- f-sum-gp
Be sure to choose one that has the geartek transmission if you have lots of experience. If you want a little more forgiving of an experience, choose one with omnitrac.

Want lots of variety within a class -- f-sum-gp
f-sum-gp has the most variations of chassis and engine.

GPLer, but also a modern formula car fan -- f-sum-exp
f-sum-exp feels to me like a hybrid between a Lotus 49 and a f-sum-gp car. It is not GPL, but it has some of that flavor sprinkled on a winged car.

Oval fan -- f-sum-oval
f-sum-speedway was dropped and f-sum-oval picked up 100 more hp. There are other changes as well, and this turned out better than either the old f-sum-oval or f-sum-speedway.

CHANGES
- build ids. Due to the meta-mod capability, we added an explicit build id to help avoid online mismatches.
- Physics. All classes have minor tweaks, some more significant. Changes range from tire tweaks, to aero tweaks, to drivetrain tweaks. Suspensions are the same, so existing setups should still be reasonable starting points.
- New classes. f-sum-rookie was added to give league newbies a better shot at interacting with leaguie regulars in f-sum-basic cars.

f-sum-exp -- exp stands for expert/experienced/experimental.
Same power/weight as a Lotus 49, no diffusor, lower grip tires. Do the math. I put this in for my own GPL-like fun, but it is probably too difficult for our particular league.

- New skins by bmwRacer42, and they are a quite nice collection of historical Formula 1 renditions.
